Bodily Injury Claims

Claridge Insurance Adjusters Inc. handles both full handle and task assignments. We provide a full range of services regarding the investigation of Bodily Injury claims including obtaining statements from first party, third party and any independent witnesses. Where applicable, we also have experience interviewing police officers and other professionals involved in the accident. Further, we have experience attending at courthouses in order to note the outcome of charges, etc. as well as note taking through the proceedings to provide a record of same to our insurers. We have been using the industry standard Crash Zone 10 for a number of years that allow us to provide accurate scene investigation diagrams including the use of satellite images imported into the program for ease of reference. We also provide scene investigation photos and are able to survey the roadway including measurements for any possible imperfections or defects that could have been a contributing factor in the accident.

Vehicle Inspections

Having a licensed Automotive Service Technician and Truck and Coach Technician on staff, Claridge Insurance Adjusters Inc. is able to provide vehicle inspections in the field or on site at our fully equipped office location. This service could assist with the handling of Physical Damage and Vehicle Theft claims, as well as providing commentary on the roadworthiness of the vehicles being inspected. We also offer free storage pending an inspection by an engineer or other interested parties if required. We offer a full and complete shop with hoist, internet and access to a desk if needed. All vehicles stored in our gated and locked compound are under 24-hour video surveillance. Should inside storage be required, the vehicle will be under a monitored alarm system.

Crash Data Retrieval

An invaluable source of information when possible used to determine crash severity. The data is used in conjunction with photos, scene investigations as well as for comparative purposes for first party and third party statements. We have completed both the 8 hour Crash Date Retrieval (CDR) System Operators Course as well as the 32 hour Analysis and Application Course. Our goal with CDR is to preserve evidence should an accident reconstruction be necessary based on the severity of the crash. As such, we download data from the vehicle (including back powering of circuits) and provide a brief synopsis to the claims examiner which confirms vehicle speed, brake application, accelerator pedal position and crash impact forces. We provide the original “raw file” a PDF version as well as a highlighted PDF version for ease of reference. We have been successful in downloading information from multiple vehicles – finding that often times the insured has overstated their speed prior to impact as an example.
